Hello everyone Let's talk today about such a program as Hitman Pro, find out what this program is, and you can easily understand whether you need it or not. So this program is actually very important and belongs to the fighters against viruses. But the trick is that Hitman Pro removes those viruses that conventional antiviruses do not find at all! And all because such viruses of the type are not particularly dangerous, which is why often antiviruses simply do not see them and this is bad

The funny thing is that such viruses are called adware. That is, they don’t steal anything, they don’t steal passwords, they don’t hack anything, but at the same time they embed ads. They can embed it just on the desktop, but often they do it in the browser, they embed ads there, while doing it so that you don’t notice anything. Well, that is, you will continue to think that this advertisement is from the site, but in fact the advertisement on the site was removed by a virus, and another one was installed in its place! Here is such a joke! Often, for this, an extension is installed in the browser, well, so that the whole process of replacing ads works clearly, these are the pies!

Also, in addition to advertising viruses, Hitman Pro perfectly removes all strange and unnecessary programs. In fact, you can easily have such programs, because unnecessary and left-handed programs penetrate the computer somehow on the sly, when installing normal programs! Do you want to know my personal opinion? I can't say that Hitman Pro is a bad utility, on a ten-point system I would rate it 8, it just seems to me that it will be somehow easier. But both of these utilities are BEST in their class, you can be sure of that.

Oh, I completely forgot to write, AdwCleaner is completely free, and Hitman Pro is a paid utility, that's it!

Today I will show in practice what kind of Hitman Pro program it is, how it works, and in the end I think you will understand how suitable and necessary it is

By the way, Hitman Pro can be installed, or you can simply run it for a one-time check. But I just installed the utility, immediately after the installation, the check began, and now some viruses or threat types have already been found in me:

I mean, things like this. By the way, I liked it that Hitman Pro took it and immediately launched a scan, it’s better this way, because viruses will be found and destroyed as quickly as possible

In general, it was written in the program that it found some traces of system infection, that you need to close all programs and click the Next button:

By the way, after I pressed the button, a restore point was created and that's good! Then again, a little tricky moment, you need to activate a free license:

To do this, enter your email:

In this regard, I meant that AdwCleaner is better, there is no such complexity!

Well, so, entered the mail, pressed the Activation button, then the program will hang for a while, check something there and give you the following message:

By the way, a letter from Hitman Pro came to the mail, but what’s interesting is that there was nothing like that, like, to activate the mail, follow some link there ... There was nothing like that, it’s just a little strange that they don’t check mail ...

Just in case, another recovery checkpoint will be created, after which all viruses will be removed or quarantined:

But it will also be written that the check is partially completed and in order to complete it completely, you need to reboot. Well, what can I say, this is normal and I strongly advise against postponing this reboot.

When I rebooted on a black screen, I had this inscription for about three seconds:

By the way, I then rebooted again, this inscription was gone.

Then, if anything, then, if necessary, you can launch a shortcut from the desktop and start checking

Well, that is, as you can see, the program works clearly, I did not notice any jambs or glitches.

There is one more moment, in general, look, when I checked with the Hitman Pro utility, it did not delete the Amigo browser. But when I checked the computer with the AdwCleaner utility, it had already removed the Amigo browser as well. This, as it were, is not very good, because despite the fact that there are a lot of complaints about Amigo, that he somehow gets into the computer himself, but still, I think that Amigo likes some users. And then, after checking AdwCleaner, after rebooting, I saw this progress report:

As you can see, Amigo (this is from Mail.ru) has been removed, and also the Nichrome browser (this is from Rambler). So here are the things guys, consider this moment.

Well, now I will show you how to remove Hitman Pro from your computer. But I recommend doing this only when it is really necessary. Well, that is, I do not advise just deleting it. So, to remove, then hold down Win buttons+ R and write there such a command as:

The Control Panel will open, there you need to find the Programs and Features icon, well, run it:

Then we find the HitmanPro program in the list (I have version 3.7 here), click right click and choose Delete:

And that's all, this is all the deletion, there will be no windows, everything will be deleted quietly. That's it

Well guys, I hope that everything was clear to you here. Good luck in life and that everything is fine with you

If your system is infected and you cannot install an antivirus, then it's time to turn to a "hit man". HitmanPro 3.7 is specially designed to clean the system from various kinds of threats, and a separate Kickstart module as part of the product is able to cope with programs that block the system in order to receive monetary rewards.

Vendors often release specialized cleaning utilities, such as HitmanPro, but they are free. You do not need to pay to perform a computer scan, but in order to remove the found threats, you need to buy a HitmanPro license ($19.95 for one year for one computer, $29.95 for one year for 3 computers) or register a 30-day trial version . On the other hand, if the scan did not reveal any traces of malware, you do not need to register an evaluation version.

Easy start and scan

By default, the tiny HitmanPro executable installs a local copy of the program on your computer and configures it to perform a scan each time it boots. Be that as it may, the user has the opportunity to run a one-time scan without installing program components. During testing, there were no problems installing the product on 12 infected machines. This fact is surprising, especially considering the installation of some other solutions, which involves many hours of communication with technical support by phone and chat.

Just like Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Free, HitmanPro's interface is focused on one specific task. Most users will launch the utility and initiate a scan right away. The program has several settings, touching which is optional. By default, they are set to maximum efficiency protection.

The time it takes to scan directly depends on the number of suspicious files found. these files are uploaded to cloud server for detailed analysis. On a clean system, the initial scan took about 4 minutes, the second scan lasted just over a minute. Average for latest versions antivirus products is 30 minutes. HitmanPro is, without a doubt, very fast.

Scanning infected systems took large quantity time. A couple of times, a message was noticed about the disconnection with the cloud verification service. To provide best cleaning on these systems, the scan was re-run.

When the scan was completed, HitmanPro displayed a detailed list of malicious files and traces of their presence in the system. The scanner is based on the technologies of 5 anti-virus vendors: Kaspersky Lab (from version 3.7.7.202), Bitdefender, Emsisoft, G Data and Ikarus. When you select a threat in the list, you will see information about which engine detected the danger and what the name of the malware is on different engines.

Some list items will include small rectangular labels ("chevrons"). They are used to designate drivers, startup files and files protected by Windows (Windows File Protection).

Double-clicking on a list item expands detailed information about a threat containing all sorts of attributes. The average user is unlikely to be dealing with this data, but professionals may find it useful.

The list shows HitmanPro's recommended actions for each item. There was no need to change the default solutions, except in one case. HitmanPro has identified the well-known tool RootkitRevealer as a Trojan. Thus, the file has been marked as safe.

Very effective cleaning

In some cases, HitmanPro found setup file malware, but did not notice installed program which was considered ignoring the threat. In addition, one rootkit and one keylogger continued to work even after HitmanPro tried to remove them. However, the overall result was very good.

HitmanPro found 84 percent of active malware samples and scored 6.3 for cleanup. FixMeStick also scored 6.3 but found only 82 percent of the threats. Both products are not far behind the leaders with 6.6 points - Norton Antivirus 2013 and Webroot SecureAnywhere Antivirus 2013.

FixMeStick works by booting in an alternate environment, so it's very effective against rootkits - 9.2 points for rootkit removal. Only Kaspersky Anti-Virus 2013 scored better with 9.4 points. HitmanPro came in third with 8.4 points for rootkit removal. Norton has the same result.

Emsisoft Emergency Kit is different portable program, which is not bootable like FixMeStick. The main concept of the program is that the user can carry it on removable media and run it on any computer they use. The program scored 5.6 points for removing malware and only 1.2 points for removing rootkits.

Malwarebytes is the most famous utility of this class of programs, as well as Comodo Cleaning Essentials. Both products were tested with the old collection of threats, so the results are not equal. Comodo scored 6.8 for malware removal and 8.7 for rootkit cleanup. Malwarebytes did a poor job with rootkits - 3.6 points, but total score good enough - 6.4.

Kickstart exterminates "ransomware"

The term "ransomware" or ransomware refers to a category of threats that block a computer from receiving payment. In some cases, such programs encrypt important documents. Most often, ransomware controls the system boot process and completely interrupts access to the system. Such threats often use camouflage. Alarm messages can be from special services and departments of Microsoft.

You'd be surprised how often users make payments and how rarely ransomware actually takes control of the system. Experienced users know that this is a trap, but booting the system to get rid of malware is not so easy.

The new Kickstart feature is designed to restore access to a system infected with ransomware. On a clean system, run HitmanPro and build with Kickstart bootable flash drive. When booting from a flash drive, the ransomware is inactive and you can run the standard HitmanPro scan. FixMeStick works in a similar way, but uses a specialized Linux environment.

When testing, we used virtual machines, so it was not possible to test Kickstart in the case, but booting from a USB flash drive worked fine. On the net physical system the boot was made from removable media and the scan worked without problems.

Effective but not free

HitmanPro 3.7 has proven itself to be an effective malware cleanup tool, and the Kickstart module is a unique tool. On the other hand, FixMeStick eliminates ransomware by downloading in an alternative environment and scored almost identical to HitmanPro. Both products have just one problem: they are not free.

The most common reason for using a specialized cleaning utility is that a stationary antivirus cannot be installed on an infected system. You have already paid for the product you want to use. Of course, you don't want to pay again just to install an antivirus. It would be more logical to use free program Comodo Cleaning Essentials. If Comodo can't deal with ransomware, HitmanPro's Kickstart is the perfect solution.

Hitman Pro 3.7:

Advantages

Effective cleaning of malware and rootkits in particular;
- The Kickstart function allows you to bypass the system lock by ransomware;
- Very high speed scanning;
- There are no problems when installing on infected machines;
- Extremely detailed information about the threats found.

Flaws

No real-time protection;
- Many competitors are free, but this solution is paid;
- Mistakenly recognized the well-known utility RootkitRevealer as a Trojan.

Overall score

HitmanPro 3.7 removes active malware, which prevent the installation of a full-fledged antivirus. The built-in Kickstart function allows you to neutralize the effect of threats that block the boot of the OS for a ransom. The program showed good results in testing. However, unlike many competitors this product not free.

Hello everyone, today we will talk again about how to remove viruses from a computer, or to be more precise, about one good utility— Hitman Pro. What it is? This virus scanner, which uses the cloud power of Kaspersky and Bitdefender in its work. There is a Russian language, the program can be tested for free for a month (by the way, this is more than some other similar utilities), and then, if anything, buy it.

HitmanPro analyzes the behavior of programs and checks files, and if there is a virus, it will be removed without disturbing the stable operation of Windows.

Some users scold the program, saying that it demolished some system files. But here it’s still worth clarifying, is the program or the crooked handles of users to blame? Since it really helped many, for example, it removed the same ads from browsers, virus add-ons, virus garbage from the registry.

Without the Internet, the main feature of HitmanPro does not work - cloud verification, but this is logical. Well, without the Internet and viruses, then ... well, only through a USB flash drive, unless they get there.

A false positive is also possible, for example, a behavioral analyzer canceled the installation of the FastStone Capture program, saying that this is a suspicious program, but what can you do - sometimes you won’t understand the enemy in front of you or not

In general, an unambiguous conclusion cannot be made, I read the reviews about HitmanPro, you know, they are all different - some say that it is super, others that it is useless, but nevertheless HitmanPro has been developing since 2006 and if it were any at all, then it would already would not be

Okay, let's better now let's see how it works, how much user-friendly interface. You can download HitmanPro, this is the official site, so there are no viruses.

Click on Download now:

The installer will automatically download, after which you can run it:

In general, they launched it, and a beautiful window opened like this:

What's interesting is that I didn't see the language selection setting. That is, what language I need was determined automatically and that's great. Well, it is, just a note.

Click on the Settings button (at the bottom of the window) to see what can be configured for best effect so to say. The window has several tabs with their own options:

In general, on this first tab, it seems to me that almost nothing needs to be changed, here everything is already set up optimally, except that you can uncheck Search potentially unnecessary programs if HitmanPro will mistake a normal program for a dangerous one. This behavior, however, is inherent in many similar utilities and full-fledged antiviruses, it’s just that someone has fewer such positives, and someone has more.

But on the Scan tab there is a mega-important option - searching for infections every day on a schedule, well, see for yourself, such a daily scan will leave almost no chance for anyone advertising virus- you can check the box and set the time:

By default, it will be prompted to clean up when the PC starts, but I also think this is the most the best option. If you want nothing to interfere with this check, then uncheck the two checkboxes at the bottom regarding the shutdown when executing high-resource programs and when the hard drive is under load.

Well, that's almost all last tab Add. settings there is a unique option (I just haven’t seen it in others) - this is a file check on the Virustotal service, many of them are familiar with it. In general, if it’s interesting, you can implement it, you just need to get some kind of API code, most likely on Virustotal itself, I honestly don’t know:

We set everything up, looked, now let's start the scan - click in the OK window at the bottom and then in the main window click Next:

And immediately I found a lot of things, in general, to be honest, not all of this is viruses, but nevertheless, if you remove all such garbage, then nothing bad will happen, and even better.

Then the search for the remains of the infection will begin - it’s also good that HitmanPro does all this in one pass, commendable:

And then the final stage - Classification:

You will have a HitmanPro shortcut on your desktop, you can also uninstall the program in the standard way - through the control panel (find the Programs and Features icon and select HitmanPro in the list, right-click on it and uninstall, and follow the instructions).

Well, what conclusion can be drawn about HitmanPro, you ask? Well, look, if for example the same free one didn’t help you, or free version also did not solve the problem, then yes - you can download HitmanPro and use it. It's just that HitmanPro is paid, while there is free analogues, are also very good.

All these utilities are ideal for supplementing basic protection, that is, for supplementing an antivirus (by the way, I advise Kaspersky), which cannot remove all kinds of advertising infections such as extensions, home pages that are embedded in browsers, or even file substitution in the browser.

Sometimes HitmanPro.exe and other errors system errors EXE could be related to problems in the Windows registry. Several programs can use the HitmanPro.exe file, but when those programs are uninstalled or changed, sometimes "orphaned" (invalid) EXE registry entries are left behind.

Basically, this means that while the actual path to the file may have been changed, its incorrect former location is still recorded in the Windows registry. When Windows tries looking up these incorrect file references (file locations on your PC), HitmanPro.exe errors can occur. In addition, malware infection may have corrupted the registry entries associated with HitmanPro 3 . Thus, these invalid EXE registry entries need to be repaired in order to fix the root of the problem.
