Updating a file using the External Links palette

If for some reason you did not see the message or closed it without updating the external link, and then decided to update the changed file, you can use the palette to do this. External links.

It should be noted that the layer settings of the same xref file can be different in two different master drawings that refer to this file. In other words, you can create xrefs to the same file in several different drawings by setting different visibility, color, and linetype settings for the layers of the xref file in each of the master drawings.
