Midnight Club: LA Remix is the fifth game in Rockstar's fast-paced series and follows Midnight Club: DUB Edition, which, like LA Remix, was about racing and earning money in Tokyo.
In the new "pocket" LA Remix, which took everything from the PlayStation 3 version, you find yourself at the beginning of your career with a small amount of money and one modest car. With this small capital you will have to prove to the kings of asphalt that you are no worse than them, and do this both during the day (for the first time in the Midnight Club series) and at night.

However, everything is in order. Before you do anything, you need to get your hands on weak street racers and show results that will allow you to participate in bigger and more profitable races. Victory will allow you to get into your garage, Hollywood Auto, where all the endless possibilities of customizing and upgrading the car will lie before you.
The races take place in the most different places– they are marked on the map and you can take part by simply pressing the SELECT button and checking your GPS to see where to go. Each type of race is marked with a different color: green for the easiest races, and red for the hardest races.
"Red" racing will require a car with a more powerful engine than in other cases. A good strategy would be to get as many wins as possible on the easier tracks and use the money to improve the car before throwing the gauntlet to more skilled drivers.
While racing, you'll be able to enjoy classic views of Los Angeles, although you won't have time to admire them properly: LA Remix is a really fast game. However, in Cruise mode you can return to the same places and see them, getting a better look at the streets, alleys and jumps. All this will come in handy when you have to fight for first place again on the same streets.
King of the roads
As you round corners at breakneck speed, you'll remember more than once kind words developers who introduced very useful function time dilation, which allows you to take a breath without losing your chances of winning.
There are other interesting things hiding under the hood of your car. Having earned some money, you can buy nitrous oxide cylinders, allowing you to leave your competitors behind at the finish line.
If you run out of nitrous oxide and your opponents are nearby, you can catch the air flow from the car in front by positioning itself directly behind it. Once you do this, you'll see the special meter quickly increase in value, allowing you to press the R button for a huge speed boost.
Most races require completing checkpoints in a certain order, but to freshen up the game, the authors have made some changes to this usual mode. Some races can be won by crossing checkpoints in any order you prefer.
In others, you simply need to get from start to finish any way through the whole of Los Angeles or Tokyo. Such races often become the most furious and interesting in the game.

Taking part in the race is simple: find another racer near you, flash your lights - and you are ready to compete. In some cases, you will have the opportunity to compete with your opponent to get to the starting line. You will not receive money for winning these races, but you will be able to purchase prizes.
Another new feature at Midnight Club is motorcycles. There's a whole garage full of two-wheeled rockets, which further increases the number of hours you'll spend choosing the vehicles of your choice.
LA Remix also has a collective mode - up to four friends can simultaneously compete via local wireless connection in a variety of addictive and crazy modes, such as Capture the Flag or Touch and Paint, where you face off against other players by painting their cars and getting points for it. Each mode has special types of weapons that allow you to freeze your opponents in blocks of ice or jam their cars with an electromagnetic pulse.

Installation rules.
1. To use save on "PlayStation 2":
1.1. Folder “BASLUS-21355uuv” from the archive “01. for playstation 2 memory card.zip" should be unpacked onto an external USB storage device (USB-storage), previously formatted in FAT32.
1.2. Insert the USB media into the appropriate slot of the game console and copy the “BASLUS-21355uuv” folder from it to the root of the “PlayStation 2” memory card using the “uLaunchELF” program. To do this, you will need either a PS2 with a “cracking chip” embedded in it, or a memory card with the Free MCBoot program installed on it, coupled with uLaunchELF.
1.2.1. Run on game console uLaunchELF program
1.2.2. Open the file browser - “FileBrowser”
1.2.3. Open the “mass:/” folder (USB media designation) and cut/copy the “BASLUS-21355uuv” folder from it
1.2.4. Open the folder “mc0:/” (designation of the memory card inserted into slot No. 1) and paste the copied folder into it
2.1. File “SLUS-21355 MC3 Remix 100% uuv (3F7032A4).max” from the archive “02. for pcsx2 virtual memory card.zip" should be embedded in the memory card file of the "PCSX2" program.
2.1.1. Run the program “mymc-gui.exe” on the computer
2.1.2. Select the PCSX2 program memory card file: “Mcd001.ps2” (or “Mcd002.ps2”), located at the address “C:\Users\(name)\Documents\PCSX2\memcards\”
2.1.3. Click on the “Import” button and select the file “SLUS-21355 MC3 Remix 100% uuv (3F7032A4).max”
