Sound pressure level l - sound pressure level (dB).

Sound Level Pressure(SPL, Russian slang) choke) - autosonic competitions for maximum sound pressure. During the competition, the judges measure the peak sound pressure inside the car, or in the immediate vicinity of the car.
It depends on the moral stability of judges. Using a digital spectrum analyzer or sound level meter. Competitions are held in several classes. The division into classes mainly occurs according to the number of subwoofers installed in the car. The cars with the highest results win in their class. Measurements are traditionally made in decibels.

Competitions for the maximum sound pressure inside the car originated in America about twenty years ago and quickly gained popularity around the world. The spectacular form of the competition quite easily allows you to turn them into a spectacular show, which attracts many fans and spectators. At the same time, SPL competitions are not just an exciting spectacle. Car audio professionals (all as one athletes) believe that only during the competition can you determine the correct choice of amplifiers and speakers, check their durability and quality of work in extreme conditions. Creating a powerful bass in a car is not an easy task, for its solution they use special combinations of huge power amplifiers and a set of the largest subwoofers. The SPL is dominated by the exact sciences, mostly physics and mathematics, although many problems are solved with the help of geometry and the old sopromat. To increase the sound pressure even by 3 dB, the power of the amplifier must be doubled, so few cars can overcome the 150 dB mark. Each new decibel beyond this limit is achieved with great difficulty - a simple increase in the power of amplifiers is no longer enough, reliable speakers and amplifiers of a special design are required. The process of calculating and assembling a sports system is reminiscent of the creation of Formula 1 racing cars.

In fact SP L stands for the Standard PHP Library, a collection of classes and interfaces for solving common problems in PHP. The library was introduced in PHP 5 and is available by default since PHP 5.

Competitions

car audio competition is a spectacular event, dynamic in nature and attracting numerous spectators of the widest range of interests. Car audio competitions originate in America. In Russia, 1998 can be considered the birth date of car audio, at the same time the SPL club was created, which is currently the oldest of the existing domestic competitive systems. All competitions are held according to the same standards and rules, at a high quality level, subject to a single goal - the popularization of car audio in Russia.

SPL-Club (classic SPL)

SPL competition is a type of car audio competition in which the participant must show the maximum sound pressure inside the vehicle.

The vehicle and installation of the participant must comply with the requirements of these Rules.

In cases where a particular system or setup would be outside the scope of these Rules, the right to decide on this participant is transferred to the Chief Judge for consideration, to determine whether the installation is consistent with the spirit and goals of the competition.

The signal source must be a standard car CD/DVD player.
Sound generators, frequency multipliers and any other devices and devices that imitate a real sound signal are prohibited.
All audio material must be played through loudspeakers.
The use of mechanical and / or other devices to reproduce sound is not allowed.
All equipment is located inside the car
The audio system must be powered from the on-board network of the participant's car.

Through holes in the floor (body) are prohibited. It is forbidden to bring out the phase inverter ports.
Any equipment must not protrude beyond the front door opening. This rule applies both to the subwoofer cabinet and applies to amplifiers, capacitors, batteries.
It is forbidden to exhibit the same vehicle in more than one class (category).
The participant has the right to compete in only one class (category).

All rules are interpreted according to their purpose and spirit.
In disputed cases, the decisions of the chief referee are final.
The participant undertakes to comply with these rules and follow the decisions of the Chief Referee

D.B. Drag Racing

Competitions dB Drag Racing appeared in 1994. The name already speaks for itself. dB - designation of the sound pressure value decibel (Russian designation - decibel or dB), Drag Racing - popular quarter-mile races. The main difference between dB Drag Racing and other formats is precisely the similarity to quarter-mile races, where qualifying races are held to determine the order of paired rounds, where two cars in a head-to-head fight find out who is worthy to continue the fight for victory, and who will leave the competition ahead of schedule. To do this, the audio system must be not only loud, but also hardy in order to withstand a series of measurements.
This form of holding significantly increases the excitement of the competition and requires composure, certain tactics from the participants, and great endurance and fault tolerance from the equipment.
Since there are many ways to create sound pressure in the car interior, dB Drag Racing rules clearly regulate all permitted methods and describe the division of participants into divisions and classes according to the degree of modification of the car and the types of equipment used, in order to maximally equalize the opportunities for all participants.

Beach SPL

Beach SPL- this is an autosound competition in which the main task of the participant is to achieve the highest sound pressure developed by his audio system outside the car.

Competition principles:

Rules

Competition principles:

The audio system should be loud and musical;

The audio system must be accessible to viewers;

The audio system must be safe when operating the vehicle.

Based on these principles, this type of competition differs from similar events in the following ways:

Sound pressure measurement is carried out on an ordinary musical soundtrack, in the entire frequency range, outside the car at a distance of 5 meters;

The participant is obliged to demonstrate his audio system to the audience;

The completeness of audio systems, its aesthetics are evaluated;

The safety of the audio system is assessed;

The division into classes of participants is made:

a) by the number of loudspeaker heads used,

b) to fill the audio system space of the car.

The musicality of the audio system.

A sign of the musicality of the audio system is the ability to work in a wide band of audio frequencies. When playing a phonogram, it must contain not only a low-frequency low-frequency range, but also a mid-frequency midrange and a high-frequency high-frequency range. Musicality is assessed by a measurement judge subjectively by ear or objectively using a spectrum analyzer. The difference in sound pressure level between the main spectrum and the resonant narrow-band sound should not exceed 20 dB. Also, the MF and HF components should not fall by more than 10 dB relative to the average sound pressure.

Additional points are awarded for the musicality of the audio system:

2 points for no resonant narrowband sound;

2 points for the presence of the midrange component;

1 point for the presence of the RF component

Completeness, aesthetics of the audio system.

The participant is obliged to demonstrate his audio system. The audio system must have a complete appearance (all trim and interior panels must be present, all elements of the audio system must be on the podiums or integrated into the interior of the car, fixed, the wiring is hidden). An audio system that was installed to design the interior of a car or to showcase new technology or innovation deserves additional credit for aesthetics.

The aesthetics and completeness of the audio system is determined by the installation judge.

For the completeness of the audio system adds 1 point.

For the aesthetics of the audio system, 1 point is added.

Audio system security.

The protection of passengers and cargo, the protection of audio system elements, and the protection of the audio system from short circuit short circuits are considered.

Protection of passengers and cargo.

Elements of the audio system must be securely fastened so that the possibility of damage to passengers and cargo by the elements of the audio system is excluded. The reliability of fastening the elements of the audio system is checked by hand for displacement.

Protection of audio system elements.

The elements of the audio system must be installed so that passengers and cargo during the operation of the car cannot mechanically act on the diffusers and speaker terminals, controls and terminals of amplifiers, head unit.

Short circuit protection.

There should be no open bare wiring, including capacitors, power distributors, amplifier terminals and other audio system devices that can accidentally get foreign metal objects and cause a short circuit.

For the fulfillment of the safety conditions for each safety item, an additional 1 point can be awarded.

The elements of the audio system include: the head unit, audio frequency amplifiers, control units and audio signal correction, power distribution devices, additional batteries and capacitors, speakers, signal and power wiring.

Only that part of the audio system that is offered for demonstration is evaluated.

Classes.

The participants are currently divided into three classes.

Super class. One subwoofer and/or up to two 8" full range speakers.

Mega class. Two to four subwoofers and no more than four 8" full range speakers.

These classes imply regular use of the car, i.e. the use of all the main seats, the trunk for transporting passengers and goods, maintaining visibility, maintaining the functionality of the doors. In this case, it is allowed to use only elements of the car audio industry in the audio system.

In both classes, the audio system should not occupy more than 50% of the luggage compartment, not go beyond the glazing line, and not occupy seats. The audio system must be powered only from the vehicle's on-board network. The signal and control source is the head unit located at the driver's seat.

Extreme class. More than four subwoofers and/or more than four 8" full range speakers.

The third class is intended for those who have made their car a platform for sound experiments - these are demo cars, cars in which the number of acoustic systems is increased more than reasonable, cars in which car installations are relegated to the background.

Any use of the car space is allowed. It is allowed to use any electro-acoustic technologies and developments. The audio system must also be powered only from the vehicle's on-board network. The signal source can be located anywhere in the car or be remote.

One 8" head equals two 6" heads four of 5", eight of 4" or combinations thereof.

Mandatory conditions for all classes are: arrival and departure to the site must be carried out on their own. The audio system must have an aesthetic appearance. Participants using abnormal vocabulary in the phonogram are not allowed to compete. The aesthetics of the audio system installation is determined by the installation judge.

The order of the competition.

Competitions can be divided into several stages: registration of participants, arrival at the measurement site, demonstration of the audio system, assessment of safety and compliance with the class, preparation for the measurement, the measurement of HT itself, evaluation of the results, announcement of the winners.

Registration. Produced in advance on the site www.aespb.ru or the website of the organizer of the competition. Registration conditions are specified in the same place. Registration is allowed at the venue of the competition on the day of the competition, unless it is agreed in advance by the organizer or in agreement with the Chief Referee of the competition.

Check-in to the site. It is carried out strictly in turn in compliance with the rules of the road under the guidance of line judges. At the time of the competition, the participant is obliged to obey the linesman for driving the vehicle on the competition site. The line judge determines to the participant the place where the vehicle stops for measurements. When the vehicle stops, the participant is obliged to take all measures so that it cannot move spontaneously (the vehicle must be put on the parking brake and (or) with the engine turned off at speed). Only one car must be on the site at a time during the race.

Demonstration. To achieve the main goal of the competition, the participant must demonstrate his audio system to the audience. At the same time, the organizers of the competition can resort to the elements of the show, ask questions to the participant, publicly evaluate the audio system, etc. The participant must be ready for this.

Aesthetics, safety, class definition. During the demonstration, the installation judge determines the conformity of the declared class by the participant with reality and evaluates the completeness of the audio system, its aesthetics, and safety. All scores and comments are recorded in the protocol and immediately announced to the participant.

Preparation for measurement. The participant prepares and sets up the audio system, selects a musical soundtrack even before entering the site. On the site, after the demonstration, he quickly prepares the car for measurement (opens or closes doors, windows, trunk, etc. at his discretion). At this time, the judge responsible for the measurement process sets the device at a distance of 5 meters from the extreme point of the car . You can use a template to measure distance. If a participant requires HT measurement from a different position, then he himself rearranges his car in such a way that the position of the device relative to the site does not change. The instrument is preparing for measurement.

HI measurement. The measurement is performed by an instrumental sound level meter with an accuracy class of at least 2.0 with the weighting filter of type "C" switched on in the "MAX" accumulative mode. The choice of the measurement scale can be automatic or manual, vernier with a gradation of at least 0.5 dB. The measurement starts when the participant is ready to turn on the soundtrack at the command of the measurement judge. The soundtrack time is from 20 to 40 seconds. Up to three attempts are allowed. The break between attempts is no more than 2 minutes. The number of attempts in specific competitions is determined by the Chief Judge based on the number of participants. Measurements are possible under the following conditions. First, during the measurement, there should be no extraneous loud sounds on the site, such as the exhaust of another car or a demonstration of the "playability" of another audio system. In case of non-compliance with this rule, the results of the replacement will be invalid. The participant will be given the right to an additional attempt, and administrative measures will be applied to the violator. Secondly, between the device and the car in a solid angle of 60 degrees (the device is the top of the corner) and around this corner within a radius of 2 meters, except for the judge, there should be no one during the measurements. In case of violation of this rule, the result may also be invalid and the need to remeasure.

Evaluation of results, protocol. The protocol of results is kept in the form of a summary table of the sample established by the organizing committee of the competition by one of the judges. All measurement results and additional points are entered into the protocol with their simultaneous announcement to the participants. The overall assessment of the results is made upon completion of all measurements. Seats are posted in classes. A working copy is made. Only after that the participants get access to the protocol of measurements.

The total result of the participant is equal to the sum of the maximum result of measurements and additional points.

Announcement of winners. As a rule, this happens at the end of the competition. According to the results of the competition, all participants are issued a "Participant's Diploma" with the achieved result. Winners from 3rd to 1st place are awarded diplomas of winners. If the organizers of the event provide, then simultaneously with the announcement of the winners, they are also awarded with cups, valuable gifts, etc.

These rules are not absolutely perfect. Therefore, they must be perceived on the basis of the principles and goals of these competitions.

Guys, what is sq and spl in car audio, please give a description

JUDGES ON THE COURT.

There are two judges in the standings.

The chief referee works with measuring devices, the second referee installs the sensor.

After setting the sensor, the head judge waits for the signal that the competitor(s) are ready.

During the round, the judges observe the observance of the rules by the participants and the unchanged position of the sensor.

Note: If the sensor during the measurement is significantly displaced (falls), then the measurement is repeated upon receipt of a ready signal from the participant (s).

An attempt is considered used when a result is obtained according to all measurement rules.

Disqualification of the participant does not allow re-measurement in order to obtain results

You are here because you have a file that has a file extension that ends in .spl. Files with the .spl extension can only be launched by certain programs. It is possible that .spl are data files and not documents or media, which means they are not meant to be viewed at all.

what is a .spl  file?

Printing files in Microsoft Windows generates a couple of spooled files; one containing the SHD extension and one containing the SPL extension. SHD contains settings while SPL contains commands for drawing the printer. SPL files are commonly used when submitting a print job and the print data they contain is queued, meaning that they contain elements related to digital documents and this data is sent to the printer to start the print job. The data saved in these SPL files is in the format used in raw printers, which means SPL files can be RAW files, i.e. they can contain data similar to that of the data sent for printing, such as CAPSL, PCL, etc. . Since these files serve as temporary storage for print job data, they are freed when the job is completed and saved to C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Printers\ as soon as they are presented. SPL files are not the only files saved on Windows in that exact directory. It also saves url files on it by using which these files allow re-submission of print jobs in case of breaks.

how to open .spl file?

Run the .spl file or any other file on your computer by double-clicking it. If your file associations are set up correctly, the application that is meant to open your .spl file will open it. You may need to download or purchase the correct application. It is also possible that you have the correct application on your computer, but the .spl files are not yet associated with it. In this case, when you try to open the .spl file, you can tell Windows which application is the right one for that file. From then on, opening the .spl file will open the correct application.

EMF Printer Spool File Viewer

EMF Printer Spool File Viewer

EMF Printer Spool File Viewer is used to view EMF spool file, which is an independent format usually held in the raw printer page definition language not officially documented by Microsoft (spool file is only supported by PCL, PostScript or one of many other options but not in Windows NT, 2000, 2003, and XP). This article reveals that it is a series of enhanced metafile records and numerous record types specifically in business. Select the menu File->Open in viewing the EMF spool file. A dialog box will appear allowing you to browse the spool file (with file extension .spl) and these will typically held in your $winnt$\System32\spool\ directory. If you want to send a file who doesn't have the application for viewing, use the application's print function and send the spool file to them since EMF spool file serves as a quick and dirty portable document format. Spool file has the structure of parsing the file in extracting information from it. If you want to extract only the text from a printed document for archiving, parse the file and extract the EMR_EXTTEXTOUTA and EMR_EXTTEXTOUTW records.

word of warning

Be careful not to rename the extension to .spl  files or any other files. This will not change the file type. Only a special conversion program can change a file from one file type to another.

what is the file extension?

A file extension is a set of three or four characters at the end of a filename, in this case, .spl. File extensions tell you what type of file it is, and tell Windows what programs to open. Windows often associates a default program for each file extension, so that when you double-click a file, the program starts automatically. While the program is no longer on your computer, you may sometimes receive an error message when you try to open the corresponding file.
