From my point of view, the device has a rather nice appearance: a nice gray color, chrome insert and a translucent joystick OK button. Interestingly, due to the shape of the screen frame and keyboard, the impression of a narrowing of the body towards the center is created. But in fact, the width is the same. Material - matte and semi-gloss plastic. Fingerprints mostly remain on the screen, they are less noticeable on the back side. The assembly is not bad, but after a couple of weeks it began to crackle a little, however, within the normal range.

Dimensions Explay SL240 - 120x48.6x10.6 mm, weight - 84 grams. It's really thin and feels great in the hand. It fits in the pockets of jeans, trousers and even a summer shirt.

There is a speaker on the front panel. The volume is high, intelligibility is excellent, the interlocutor is heard clearly. If compared with Fly-phones, then the closest competitor in this parameter is DS120 and B501. A little lower is the screen, navigation block and keyboard. In order to unlock the screen, you must successively press the "Menu" and "*". The symbol "#" - switching the phone to silent mode. The illumination of all buttons is white, relatively uniform. The brightness is average, however, both during the day and at night it is clearly visible.


In the security settings, the keypad lock time is selected: from 5 seconds to 5 minutes, or block only manually.

Display

Explay SL240 screen diagonal is 2.4", resolution - 240x320 pixels, density - 166 pixels per inch. The matrix is ​​​​made using TFT-LCD technology and is capable of displaying 262144 shades of color. Most of its competitors have approximately the same screen parameters, however, in my opinion, viewing angles are better on Fly DS120, B501, MC181. For example, when the SL240 display is tilted towards itself, the colors are more inverted, and from itself, the contrast sharply decreases.

The brightness is high, it is enough for comfortable reading information from the screen on a sunny day. Adjusted manually ("Menu" - "Settings" - "Phone" - "Display"). There are several options in the screen settings:

According to the current settings, it turns out that the phone will not turn off until the battery is discharged to 3.25 volts, not to 3,45 as it was before with factory settings and after flashing, which will slightly extend one charge, and even though the phone will beep, it will ring and should not turn off ( Explay Power does not disable the function of outgoing calls when the battery is critically low, it will ring until the last breath, but the brand new Explay Power Bank has such a DISADVANTAGE - there is still a lot of charge, but you can no longer make calls, only incoming calls. What about the meaning? Therefore, I like the old Explay Power more, and this is not its only plus compared to the "power bank", the "bank" of course has its pluses - but for me they are not important, I am the owner of Explay Power - and as a "dialer" it completely satisfies my requirements ).

And yet, theoretically, in a very emergency situation, when you need to make a call, you can call an ambulance, or call somewhere else, if your phone is turned off, you can try to turn it on ( although most likely without recharging for at least half a minute this will not work) and quickly get into the engineering menu until it turns off, turn down the first level LEV 1, for example up to 3150000 , 3100000 , or even immediately before 3000000 , and a couple of three calls, again, theoretically, you will have time to make - but this is a strong extreme case, you should not do this, you can disable the phone.

After all, it is not known how the phone will behave at such a low voltage (it's like plugging a computer into a power outlet without 220 volt and volt 80 Will it turn on at this voltage? Will it fail and lose data on the disk? Here ..), and I turned down quite a bit, and everything seems to be working fine.
